Lab Rose, 2019 - Washington Post
Lab Rose is again referenced in the Washington Post
The wine “Lab, Rose, 2019” was distinguished by the Washington Post as one of the best choices of 2019 and described by the author as a “pleasant surprise”. This is not the first time that Dave McIntrye writes about our LAB Rosé: “The 2018 made my greatest values of the year list, and this vintage is a repeat candidate.”. This year, between a selection of two Italian white wines and two French rose wines, Lab Rose 2019 of Casa Santos Lima stood out, becoming the favourite of the week. Dave McIntrye describes it this way: “Zippy acidity, bright berry fruit flavours and a hint of residual sugar just to take the edge off, without tasting sweet. It’s also cheap, and available in three-litter boxes, perfect for parties and picnics, for when social distancing is over (…)”.

The "Lisbon Vineyard Park" was created after the establishment of a protocol between the Municipal Council of the City of Lisbon and Casa Santos Lima, as a part of a strategy of investment and growth of the biodiversity and organization of the city of Lisbon green areas. This park, located right next to the Lisbon's Airport (Aeroporto Humberto Delgado), also has a high pedagogical interest as it serves to promote wine culture in general and the status of Lisbon as an excellent wine producing Region.
In this vineyard, around 2 hectares of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Arinto grapes were planted on clay and limestone soils. This a unique space of the capital of Portugal where great soil characteristics and sun exposition conditions are combined, allowing its visitors to have a close experience with the vineyards’ life cycle.
